FindFill is not a traditional staffing agency. Instead, we are a platform that connects skilled FindFill Professionals with facilities that need support. You have the flexibility to choose when, where, and how often you work—there are no minimum shift requirements. Unlike agencies, facilities set the pay rates, not FindFill. Our role is simply to streamline the process, making it easy for top professionals and facilities to connect efficiently.
The process is typically fast. As long as you have an active healthcare license in good standing with the state, we just require a brief interview, a few state-mandated documents (such as your healthcare license, ID, BLS card, and others as needed), and a quick background check. Once those are complete and validated, you’ll be able to start submitting to shifts right away.
Since states require specific training for caregivers, the only way we can verify that a FindFill Professional has met these requirements is by ensuring they hold an active license in good standing with the state.
To comply with state laws and provide facilities with confidence in accepting a FindFill Professional, we must verify this information. Fortunately, the process is quick and straightforward.
Instead of taking additional money from you for each shift you ever work with FindFill, like other companies do, you pay for these background checks up front as you’re applying. However, watch out for any bonuses or incentives offered through FindFill for working a certain number of hours in a given timeframe. These bonuses, on top of the already premium pay you’re likely to receive from working shifts found through FindFill, will easily make up for the costs you pay for background checks.
Shortly, you’ll receive a text message from our background check partner where you’ll fill out all of the information required to initiate the background check. While waiting for your background check results, please upload the required documents in your FindFill profile. Requirements may vary by role and state, so be sure to check the app for specific details. These documents are similar to those needed when working in any healthcare or senior care facility.
To comply with state regulations and ensure that FindFill Professionals meet or exceed the qualifications of facility employees, we require these documents. This allows facilities to verify that all professionals using FindFill are in full compliance.
These are usually documents you’ve needed in the past. If you don’t have them readily available, many FindFill Professionals have successfully obtained them from a current or former employer. If that’s not an option, renewal courses for certifications like BLS/CPR are often affordable, and most major pharmacies or clinics can provide a simple TB test.
Your healthcare license and government ID must be current. If either needs to be renewed, please visit the appropriate government website for guidance on the renewal process. As for certifications and items like a TB test, you must also ensure these are current in order to pick up a shift.
Great question! Pay rates are determined by the facilities, not by FindFill. In most cases, the rates are more than these facilities pay their own employees. Additionally, FindFill may offer extra bonuses when a FindFill Professional is highly rated by facilities or if a Professional works a lot of hours.
Professionals are paid by the Friday after the week in which the facility approves their timecard. Timecards are nearly always approved within 48 hours of being submitted by the Professional (oftentimes, just a couple hours). Professionals with timecards approved by the facility by 12a EST Sunday morning, will be paid by Friday of that week. Bank and federal holidays may delay payment in rare instances.
Professionals have the best chance of earning a 5 star rating by a facility if they show up on time, accurately record their timecards, provide great care while having a great attitude, limit phone use while on shift, and complete all tasks given to them by their supervisor.
We process payments electronically and do not issue checks or cash. To ensure you get paid, we need your payment details on file.
We understand that pay rates can vary between facilities, and you may earn more in other roles. However, keep in mind that as a 1099 contractor with FindFill, rather than a W-2 employee, you often take home more pay overall. Check out the below “Independent Contractor Information” section for a detailed explanation.
Additionally, if some pay rates don’t seem ideal, remember that professionals with a strong star rating are much more likely to get approved for shifts. We recommend working a few shifts to build your rating and work history—this will increase your chances of securing higher-paying opportunities when facilities post them!
FindFill and our partner facilities believe in paying Professionals as much as possible without making anyone have to pull teeth for great compensation. We want Professionals to know when and where they’re working as far ahead of time as possible and not have to wait until last minute bonuses are posted. Also, we want our partner facilities to have the confidence that great Professionals are picking up their shifts without having to wait last minute. Instead, we suggest our partner facilities offer top pay as soon as they post the shift.
Approval typically takes anywhere from a few minutes to a few days. Once we review your profile and verify everything is in order, you’ll be able to start submitting to shifts right away!
No, you are an independent contractor. FindFill serves as a matching platform, connecting licensed professionals like you with facilities that need your skills. You have full control over your schedule, choosing when and where you work—just like running your own business. As a 1099 contractor, taxes won’t be deducted from your payments, and you’ll receive a 1099 form for tax season instead of a W-2.
Nope! With FindFill, you have complete control over when and where you work, with no minimum shift requirements. Unlike a staffing agency, if a facility wants to hire you permanently, we don’t charge them any fees. In fact, many FindFill Professionals use the platform to discover their next full-time opportunity.
You can submit to any shift that matches your qualifications. For example, if you’re a CMA, you can submit to Care-Aide or Medication Aide shifts, but not floor nurse shifts. Shift eligibility is based on your license type. Also, you will not be able to view or submit to any shift that overlaps a shift you have already been awarded by that or any other facility.
Shifts are posted based on facility needs and can fill quickly! Once a facility accepts a FindFill Professional for a shift, it disappears from the app. We recommend checking frequently for new opportunities. FindFill is expanding across the country, so if there aren’t shifts in your area now, they may be available soon!
We partner with hundreds of facilities, and when we enter a new city, we may start with just a few initial facilities. However, we tend to grow quickly! Keep an eye on the app for new facilities in your area that may be a great fit for you.
We’ve made this process incredibly simple! When you find a shift at a facility you’d like to work, just click on the shift and hit “Submit to Shift.” The facility will review your application, along with your resume, license, and documents. If approved, you must click “Confirm” to officially book the shift.
If you withdraw, your application will be removed from that shift—so only confirm if you’re fully committed! Keep in mind that a cancellation policy is in place, and excessive cancellations may result in suspension.
It depends. If the facility needs to fill a shift soon, they may approve you within minutes. If the shift is scheduled for a few days later, it could take a couple of days to hear back. If you’re not selected, you’ll receive a notification letting you know.
Were you selected at the last minute but can’t make it? No problem! You can withdraw without penalty, which removes your application. Don’t worry—there are always more shifts available to apply for!
After submitting to a shift, facilities may contact you via the phone number listed in your profile. You may also contact the facility with the information provided within the shift you submitted to work.
Even if a facility has its own manual clock-in/clock-out process, you must also “Clock In” and out through FindFill.ai. We’ve made it easy! When your shift is over, simply tap “Clock Out” and ensure you’ve documented your breaks and meals.
Once submitted, the facility supervisor will verify your time! We recommend always double-checking that you’re properly clocked in.

In FindFill.ai, tap “Schedule,” then select “Completed.” You’ll see three filters:
Since FindFill is not a staffing agency, any work-related issues should be addressed with the facility supervisor who posted the shift or their designated point of contact.
Before your shift, be sure to review any important facility documents, which you can access anytime at FindFill.ai. These documents contain helpful information about the facility and their expectations.
If you experience an issue with the app or are unsure how to use it during your shift, you can call our main support line for assistance!
For shifts longer than 4 hours, Facilities require documented unpaid breaks of 30 minutes or longer, meaning you must clock out for these breaks. However, breaks shorter than 30 minutes do not require you to clock out and will be paid.
Always maintain clear communication with the facility regarding any requests to extend your break to avoid any issues.
This isn’t ideal! While we understand that unexpected situations arise—illness, car trouble, or emergencies—FindFill depends on reliability to ensure facilities can count on professionals like you. To maintain fairness and support those who rely on FindFill for income, we have the following cancellation policy:
FindFill understands that unavoidable emergencies happen. If you can provide written documentation—such as a doctor’s note or police report with your name and date clearly visible—we may consider lifting your suspension on a case-by-case basis.
To submit documentation, contact us within 48 hours of the incident, and a FindFill team member will review your request.

Your reliability score is your professional reputation when applying for shifts. The higher your score, the better your chances of getting approved.
The score is automatically calculated based on your interactions with the app and how consistently facilities can rely on you. It begins calculating after you’ve completed five shifts and is based on the average of your last 15 shifts.
FindFill’s minimum reliability score is 85%—but don’t stress if you have a lower score from one shift! As you work more shifts, past lower scores will phase out, giving you the opportunity to improve your rating.
This is quite simple. FindFill simply takes the number of shifts you showed up and worked over the number of shifts you were awarded. Let’s say you worked 13 out of the last 15 shifts you were awarded, then the formula and Reliability Rating would be:
13 / 15 = 87%
We understand that unexpected things happen. However, facilities need to be able to rely on you when they award you shifts. That’s why the reliability score is automatically calculated.
The good news is that one bad shift won’t impact your overall score too much if you continue working. As you complete more shifts, the lower score will phase out—after 15 more shifts, it will no longer affect your rating!
After each shift, the facility will verify your hours and provide a response as to how eager they are to have you pick up another shift with them. FindFill will then review their response and then attribute a quality rating from 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest.
Your overall rating is automatically calculated based on your last 15 shifts.
If you receive a lower rating for one shift, don’t worry! As you continue working, that score will become less impactful—after 15 more shifts, it will no longer affect your overall rating.
FindFill will ensure your 1099 forms are sent to the email listed in your profile by the end of January each year. If you received less than $600 from FindFill in the previous tax year, you will not receive a 1099 form.
If you’ve never worked as an independent contractor before, you may not be aware of some of the financial benefits. Unlike a traditional W-2 employee, you are now your own boss—which means you may be eligible to deduct certain work-related expenses from your taxes, potentially increasing your tax refund.
(Please consult a licensed tax professional to confirm what applies to you.)
As an independent contractor, you may be able to deduct expenses such as:
Additionally, since FindFill does not withhold taxes or other deductions like a traditional employer, your take-home pay is often higher than it would be in a W-2 position.
